Solar Eclipse Viewing Party

The Solar Safety Glasses are no longer available.

We will have supplies to create your own pinhole viewing device.  It’s a public park open to everyone, so please come and join us.  Parking space is limited.

***If you signed up for the program, please be there by 2 PM to pick up your safety glasses.***

Come join us to view the Solar Eclipse at Watson Park

Safety viewing devices will be available on a first come first serve basis. If attended, remember to bring your device that you made after the Solar Eclipse – What do you know? program.  Please still join us even if you did not attend the program, as all are welcome!

Please bring your own blanket or chairs, and remember your sunscreen!

Here is the time table for the solar eclipse:

Begins:   1:27 pm

Peak Viewing:  2:45 pm

Ends:   3:58 pm

Duration of the eclipse:  2 hours, 31 minutes

All ages welcome.  Children under 10 will need to be accompanied by a caregiver.

Registration is not required, yet the first 65 people will receive solar safety viewing glasses and it is helpful for planning purposes.

This event is generously co-sponsored by the Merrimack Parks and Recreation Department.

*** We will meet at Watson Park.***
