As someone who normally flies through graphic novels, I found myself having to put this down after each chapter to digest the sheer amount of information discussed in each section. Dr. Barker did a fascinating job breaking down each aspect of her discussion into simple learning points that made it easy for me to truly understand my ignorance toward the many idiosyncrasies of this timely topic. Arm yourself with an open mind, an honest willingness to learn, and the time to contemplate the contents, and this book has the power to transform the way you view gender.
