What's the difference between Amazon's Alexa and Google's Nest Hub? How do I turn my lights off with my voice? Can I change my thermostat from my cell phone? How do I let my dog walker in my house while I'm on vacation and then guarantee they lock the door behind them, without leaving them a key? How do I tell my house to open the blinds, turn on the lights, start the coffee machine, and tell me the weather and my schedule for the day when I wake up, and then start vacuuming for me as soon as I leave? Volunteers from the Michael LoVerme Memorial Foundation will be hosting a workshop to help you understand all of the various home automation tools and ways to make your home a "smart home."
