Library Showcases 9/11 Exhibit and Webinar

The library will be participating in "September 11, 2001: The Day That Changed the World" event in commemoration of the 20th anniversary of the attacks of September 11, 2001. To commemorate these attacks, the library's lower hallway will feature a poster exhibit that includes archival photographs and images of artifacts from the 9/11 Memorial Museum's permanent collection. This exhibit explores the consequences of terrorism on individual lives and communities at the local, national, and international levels, and encourages critical thinking about the legacies of 9/11.

In addition to the poster exhibit, a 30-minute webinar is being made available on Friday, September 10th. Available at 911memorial.org/webinar, this on-demand webinar presents the history of 9/11, its origins, and its ongoing implications through the personal stories of those who witnessed and survived the attacks. Those who wish to view the video will be asked a brief set of questions, and will then learn about 9/11 through personal stories from 9/11 family members.
