Community Partners

We are delighted to partner with local non-profit groups and service agencies to further their causes when we are able to accomodate these requests. A partial list of these partner programs appears below.

Merrimack Lions Club

The Library serves as a year-round collection site for used eyeglasses and hearing aids. There are small collection boxes for each located in the foyer. For more information on the Merrimack Lions Club, visit their website.

Merrimack Garden Club
The Merrimack Garden Club maintains the Library's landscaping at the Baboosic Lake Road corner, the flower beds flanking the parking lot entrance on Baboosic Lake Road and the beds at the original front entrance on Daniel Webster Highway, and purchases an annual subscription to The Fells.  The Garden Club has also purchased gardening books for our collection. We're thankful for this impressive group of volunteers and the beautiful work that they do. For more information about their projects and how to get involved, please visit their website.

Lioness Club of Merrimack

In late November/early December the library partners with the Lioness of Merrimack in Operation Santa. Gift ideas for those less fortunate are written on postcards, which are put on a Christmas Tree near the main entrance. Residents choose a card, buy the gifts, and return them to the library for the Lioness members to pick up. Connect with the Lioness Club of Merrimack on Facebook!

Laura's World Fund - Caring Cupboard

Our Caring Cupboard is located in a nook in the Henderson Teen Room and is supplied with snacks that are available to all. This Caring Cupboard is made possible through a partnership with Laura's World Fund, a local organization dedicated to the memory of Merrimack teenager Laura Wolf, who passed away in 2004. The program was started at the Mastricola Elementary School in 2016 and has expanded to other schools and Merrimack locations to create access to food for students and others in our community who, for a multitude of reasons, otherwise didn't have it.

CSA FarmShare

The Library will be serving as a pick up location for the summer 2023 CSA FarmShare with Fresh Start Farms, a collective brand for immigrant and refugee farmers and is a program of the Organization for Refugee and Immigrant Success. Merrimack customers who have a subscription to a regular delivery of vegetables grown by the farmers in Concord and Dunbarton can pick up their deliveries at the Library on Thursdays from May 25 - November 22nd between 2-4 pm.
