School & Daycare Visits

Our staff is happy to visit your school or daycare and do a storytime designed to enhance the lessons in your classroom. A typical visit:

  • lasts about an hour total (15 to 20 minutes per classroom)
  • is designed for groups of anywhere from 10 to 30 children
  • can be targeted for babies/toddlers, preschool, or elementary aged students
  • includes stories, songs, and rhymes
  • will be centered around a theme, either chosen by the librarian or designed to supplement your school’s curriculum. Example themes include animals, transportation, visiting the library, or community helpers

We ask that you please get in touch at least 2 weeks ahead of when you would like a visit so that we can adequately prepare. Please email cathy@merrimacklibrary.org or jenny@merrimacklibrary.org to begin the planning process.
