Part-time Youth Services Page/Aide

Description: The Merrimack Public Library is looking for a positive team-player to work in our fast-paced Youth Services Department. The ideal candidate will have creative problem-solving skills and can be attentive to details while exhibiting a commitment to our library's mission. Duties include shelving and shelf-reading library materials and keeping them in proper order; covering the Children's Room and lower level in the absence of other staff; providing readers' advisory services and guidance in locating library materials; and assisting patrons in the use of library computers and online services. The Page/Aide participates in Youth Services projects in both the Children's Room and Teen Area as requested. Please refer to the full job description below.

Hours: This is a year-round, part-time position. The current schedule hours are Monday-Tuesday and Thursday-Friday mornings but scheduling may change to meet the best needs of the Department.

Qualifications: Requires experience with computers. Ability to read and write English; ability to alphabetize; ability to work with decimals. High school students ages 16-17 encouraged to apply.
