Part-time Youth Services Library Page-Aide

Description: The Merrimack Public  Library is looking for a positive team-player to work in our fast-paced Youth Services Department. The ideal candidate will have creative problem-solving abililties, and can be attentive to details while exhibiting a commitment to our library's mission. Duties include maintaining library materials in proper order in the Children's Room, providing coverage of the Children's Room, and providing information, reference help and other general assistance to library patrons of all ages.  Scroll to the bottom on the page for a link to the full job description.

Hours: Schedule of 12 hours/week, Mondays - Thursdays 5:30-8:30 pm, but scheduling may change to best meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications: Candidate must be age 18 or older. HS diploma or equivalent required; some college preferred. Competency in computer use including Microsoft Office products and internet searching required. Prior library experience and/or customer service experience preferred.Ability to read and write in English; ability to alphabetize; ability to work with decimals.

Salary: $8.78 - $12.64

Part-time Adult Services Library Assistant I

Description: The Merrimack Public  Library is looking for a positive team-player to work in our fast-paced Adult Services Department. The ideal candidate will have creative problem-solving abililties, and can be attentive to details while exhibiting a commitment to our library's mission. Duties include providing information, reference help and other general assistance to library patrons of all ages; planning, scheduling and running events geared toward the library's adult patrons; assisting in selection and maintenance of Adult collections; assisting in preparing statistics for Adult collection and events.  Scroll to the bottom on the page for a link to the full job description.

Hours: Schedule of 25 hours/week, including some evenings and a weekend rotation; specific scheduling may change to best meet the needs of the department.

Qualifications: Candidate must be age 18 or older. HS diploma or equivalent required; college preferred. Previous experience working in a library and customer service experience preferred. Significant technical experience wtih computers, computer software, and mobile devices required. Ability to read and write in English.

Salary: $15.00/hour
